I have been learning to code with Scratch Jr.

We have to follow the instruction card and use coding blocks

to move our characters.

I like coding.

Science-Pulleys.

We made a pulley to get Mr Grinlings lunch from his house to

the lighthouse.

Pulleys are machines that make work easier.

Persuasive Writing

WALT use the correct structure and language for Persuasive Writing. 
Brushing Teeth 
Teeth are important for chewing our food. We need to look after them.
 So I think we should brush our teeth every day.

 Firstly I think we should brush our teeth every day so that our teeth are healthy and strong.
 When you brush your teeth you get all of the germs out so they don’t damage your teeth.

 Secondly I think we should brush our teeth every day because we need to look after our teeth so we don’t get cavities. What causes the cavities is the germs so when we brush our teeth the germs will go away.

 Thirdly I think we should brush our teeth every day so we have a fresh, yummy, clean mouth and breath. When we brush our teeth all of the bacteria comes out and so our teeth smell clean and nice.

 So that’s why I think we should brush our teeth every day.

Recount Writing - Mother's Day

I am learning to add more details to my writing.

Mother’s Day.

On Sunday it was Mother’s Day but it was raining very very hard and our flowers were wet. They were dripping wet.

When I woke up in the morning I got out of bed and went into the lounge and saw my step dad Mike, my step sister Lilly, my brother Jayden and my sister Abigail.

When I got into the lounge we were writing a card to Mum from all of us.

It said… To mummy lots of love Grace, Lilly,

Jayden and Abigail.

My Mum.

My Mum

My mum is a lovely beautiful mum who cares for me and loves me.

My mum loves me so much.
I love her too because she makes sure I’m safe.

She cooks for me. She is as sweet as a cupcake.

My mum has a big heart with love and joy inside of it
and she loves me to bit of pieces.

She is as busy as a bee and she fills my invisible bucket
right to the top and it doesn’t even spill.

She cleans the house. She washes and dries my clothes
and looks after my baby brother and feeds him too.

My mum is caring and helpful and does the dishes too.

My mum loves me but I love her the most.

Recount Writing-Going to work with my daddy.

I am learning to add detail to support my ideas.

Going to work with my daddy

On Saturday morning my brother, sister and I were going to work with our daddy.
First my daddy woke us up.

Next we got dressed into our clothes.
Finally my daddy made us some peanut butter toast and
then we hopped in the truck and ate our toast. I felt glad.

When we got to my daddy’s work, my poppa printed out some pictures
and we coloured them in.

I felt very lucky to go to work with my daddy because
I thought if I asked if l could come to work he would let me come and he did.
When my daddy came up the stairs my Uncle Jared came up too. When he got upstairs

he gave us a genormous big chelsea bun each.

My daddy had a little round circled pie. And we ate them.

Our chelsea buns were a good texture and they were nice,
sweet, pink, yummy, with smooth frosting.
After we ate our chelsea buns me and my brother, and sister were

drawing on the whiteboard. I used a pink marker,

my sister used a red marker and my brother

used a blue marker. After that we were finishing

our pictures. Then we went back home.
